Eureka Trans Sanctuary City
On January 20th, 2026, HDSA Healthcare Working Group pushed a resolution through the Eureka City Council declaring Eureka a Trans Sanctuary City. This resolution protects gender-affirming care providers and their patients from legal recourse for providing or seeking gender-affirming care. It also prevents related medical data from being shared with the federal government. You can view the full text of the resolution here.
